Well needed updates
13:10I've been pretty busy since my last update doing not much 3D and then suddenly a lot of 3D at once. So after taking a step back on the bride for a while I've decided to start her again but make her a game ready character rather than a statue kinda model. I feel like I'd actually learn a lot more from doing this and she'll look cooler too.
I've also started my next university project: Off the Map. This is a group project and while being part of the course its also a competition. The set theme was 'Shakespeare' and we've chosen 'Macbeth' to base our game on. This project is quite a big undertaking so I'll be very busy working on it, but fortunately I chose to work on characters so I'll get some good practice out of it.
I'm currently modelling Macduff from my own concept, and I've just finished baking.
I decided to bake out a cavity map and an ambient occlusion (which I never normally do when I know I should) so I'm hoping these will make a difference/be helpful when it comes to texturing. There's a lot of messy parts since the bake was just stuck together before I left so I'll spend a bit of time refining and cleaning up before I move on.
I've allowed 3 weeks for each character and I've got this and one more today. On schedule so far!
